When I was in 8th grade I went to Washington DC with my class. On the way back I sat on the plane and drew pictures. I was just thinking about that for the first time in a long time.
I sat next to a guy who told me I was good. He told me I should think about going into art. I forgot about that guy until today, which is actually January 2nd. Today I submitted my first art school application.
Who would have thought I'd follow that advice?

Gum.
I get very frustrated buying gum. Mostly because I only chew whitening gum and not everywhere always has it. And really if I'm going through all the trouble of actually buying gum then I might as well buy whitening gum, and seriously I really only like the one kind anyway so....
Yeah it's a dumb problem.

Peripherals
There's a cashier at Walgreens who always asks for my John Hancock instead of my signature when he hands me the receipt. Makes my day a little every time.

Geography sucks I want a teleporter.
College has made me frustrated that I can't introduce people to each other due to geography. I know that there are several pairs of people who would make the greatest ever friendships/relationships and I'm like nooooooooo you're a thousand miles apart.
Shuckers.

Friends
Ever notice how however many facebook friends you have seems to be exactly the proper number? And more seems obscene and fewer seems paltry?
I've read like 3 articles lately about the middle-aged facebook trend (which I think is just lovely) and they've all said something along the lines of "who really has more than 75/150/230 friends?"
I know every person I'm friends with THANKS very much. Though know may be a loose term.

Awkward Adorable.
Walking down the street today I saw a guy who was a) not wearing a coat in cold windy weather and b) holding an awkward bundle.
That bundle was a baby! And it was awkward because he'd taken his coat off and wrapped the baby in it.
How adorable is that.
Then I saw a guy who only had dreadlocks in the bottom layers of his hair and it was short and spikeyish on top, and I was like that hair is more awkward than that baby bundle. At least that baby was adorable.

(un)Conscious
I'm realizing that my two biggest indulgences might just be caffeine and sleep.

The death of MySpace.
Ladies and gentlemen, I apologize for this but it needs to be said, if only to be ignored.
Now, I love facebook. I really do. But there was a time when I loved MySpace, I couldn't imagine my life without it.
Do you know what was the beginning of the death of MySpace?
Surveys. Surveys were the first sign of the apocalypse.
Please think before you write. Think about spambots and the future. Thank you.

Hamster dance.
I am henceforth treating most of my current classes as a social experiment. I won't explicitly say which ones. I shall discuss the results at the end of the semester.

25 days
I think instead of doing 25 things it would be more interesting if everyone did one fact each for 25 days. It'd give you more time to think, anyway.

Moment!
My apartment is a block away from the athletic complex. Across the street there was a guy standing there with a sign. He wasn't talking to anyone or looking around much,
just holding a sign that said
I NEED TICKETS
I walked across the street to my corner and saw another guy. He wasn't talking to anyone or looking around much,
just holding four tickets.
It was a little funny. I wonder how long it will take for either to turn his head.

Passive Agressive call-out
Hey. Hey you.
Girl boxers and tight yoga pants.
You're a fool. Don't do that again.
