I wrote 15 pages in 4.5 hours this morning and it made me think about this

I used to think I was a good writer. I used to think I was a really good writer and anything I wrote needed to be really good. I was 17 years old and I would get so. incredibly. stressed. about writing anything it would take me hours and drive me to tears.

It was really nice when I stopped worrying about writing. It really hit me when I realized that my timed essays were usually better than the ones I had to slog through at home. When I wanted to just get my idea across, my writing was much better than when I was trying to write something good.

Now I just write whatever, and whatever I write is probably fine. It's certainly better than what I used to get all stressed about.

Fog is when clouds get tired. Gets me tired.

This fog is getting overwhelming today. It's making my arms and my eyes feel heavy, and it's making me think my Thanksgiving travel plans are absolutely insane. I'm really really cold right now.

I am obsessed with advice columns. Just because.

Have you ever wondered if advice columnists sometimes answer the same letters? Like, someone with a question hedges their bets and sends out letters to more than one columnist?

LUCKILY I READ EVERY ADVICE COLUMN

and I've counted 3 times that it's happened in the last few months. This includes today's New York Times Social Q, which I believe was a Dear Prudence entry from several weeks ago.

Aren't you glad I keep track of these things.

Don't look all disapointed when my minute long drawing isn't perfect

Sometimes GraphJam is stupid. And then you find one that's SO TOTALLY TRUE that you use it as your blog entry for the day.

I spent 40 minutes looking for my index cards

Today I studied for my art history exam for tomorrow. I was asked by 5 separate people why I was bothering to study.

Maybe I want to leeeeeeeeeearn.

And now I have.

Suck it, slacking.

Bunnies > sketches

Mindtrip of the day in class:

If the most important thing to you is reaching the most of people with your message, the art world is not the place to do it. You can put some pictures of cute bunnies on the internet and you'll get way more people to care about them than, say, about Cy Twombly's paintings.

WHOA. Truth.

It's a singing goat. Come. On.

Have you guys ever seen Hoodwinked? My older brother got it for my younger brother one year. My older brother and I watched it twice that day. Why? BECAUSE IT'S HILARIOUS.
